New in Sage 300 2019 – Exciting Developments

Now on to the good stuff—what’s new in Sage 300 2019.

First, the general improvements. These encompass both Sage 300 (the classic desktop version) and Sage 300cloud, the cloud-based version.

  • Global Search has been improved! Many people use the Global Search function to quickly find what they need. Sage has updated it to help you quickly find transactions or records in your database. You can now type in a name, description, number, or code to search. It will help you find people, companies, transactions, accounts, and many other types of records.
  • Export declaration number field can now be entered into Accounts Receivable and Order Entry, which makes it compliant with tax regulations in some jurisdictions such as Malayasia and Singapore. You can also find an Export Declaration Number field in the details table on the Document tab of the A/R Invoice Entry screen, on the A/R Detail Accounts/Taxes screen (in classic screens), on the details table on the Invoice tab of the O/E Invoice Entry screen, and on the O/E Items/Taxes screen (in classic screens).
  • Tax Authority reference fields for Malaysia and Singapore. If you conduct business in Malaysia and Singapore, these new Tax Authority reference fields will make it much easier to comply with their regulations. You can enter identifying information for a “principal” in the Reference Name and Number fields as well as group tax reporting by these principals. 

CRM Redesign

Do you use Sage CRM with Sage 300? The new release includes easier integration between Sage 300 and Sage CRM. It improves both the stability and the usability of the platform and makes integration a breeze.

A CRM system is a great way to track, monitor, and market to your customers. It enables you to gather all your customer data into one easily searchable location and utilize that data for future marketing and sales. Ask us about Sage CRM if you don’t already have it. You may find that the newly updated integration with Sage 300 makes it the right time to add it to your suite of Sage products.

Additional Updates – Sage 300cloud

Sage 300cloud, the cloud-based version of Sage 300, has also undergone some updates. These updates include the option to install Sage 300 screens on the web-based version. If you like some of the screens from your desktop Sage but are switching to the web version, this is a great feature to keep the appearance the same as what you are used to on the desktop.

Sage 300 offers a powerful accounting and financial suite for a very reasonable price. With these and other upgrades, you’ll find it a great addition to your business software needs.
